Gochujang ramen

If you don’t have Gochujang in your fridge you’re doing something wrong. Gochujang is a versatile red chilli paste that can be used to make sauces, stir fry’s, marinades and its SO GOOD. I was introduced to it about a year ago and I haven’t turned back since.

Ingredients

1 teaspoon tomato purée

minced garlic

2 tablespoons of gochujang

sesame seeds optional

soft boiled egg optional

1 tablespoon honey

pepper

500ml chicken stock

paprika

1 tablespoon of cream cheese

spring onions optional

2 boneless chicken thighs diced

ramen noodles

salt

red onion finely diced

chinese 5 spice

Instructions

Step 1

Fry off the seasoned chicken and put to one side

Step 2

Then fry off the diced red onions and garlic

Step 3

On a medium heat in a pot add the gochujang, garlic, tomato purée, honey and chicken stock. add in the red onions

Step 4

Boil the ramen noodles until cooked, then drain.

Step 5

Add the ramen to your serving bowls, add in the broth, top with chicken, soft boiled egg, spring onions and sesame seeds.
