‘Okonomi • yaki’ translates to ‘how you like/ your choice • grilled’. It’s so versatile – just make it as you like it. I literally used ingredients i had left in the fridge, but i swear it tastes goood:D

Ingredients

1.5cup 175g all purpose flour

3tbsp dashi stock

neutral oil for frying

3/4tsp baking powder

sliced bacon smoked bacon works as well

seaweed flakes

5.5tbsp water

bonito flakes for garnishing

okonomiyaki sauce

1.5tsp sugar

6 cups chopped cabbage around 450g

3 large eggs

kewpie mayo

Instructions

Step 1

Chop the cabbage

Step 2

Add all purpose flour, baking powder, sugar, eggs, water and dashi stock

Step 3

Put the sliced bacon on a pan and cook

Step 4

Add the mixture on top of the bacon and flip

Step 5

Top with your sauce and enjoy!
