MAYAK EGGS aka Korean Marinated eggs

Ingredients

• 5tbsp honey

• 1/2cup 2tbsp soy sauce

• 1/4 cup water

6 medium eggs room temp

• half an onion finely chopped

• 3 small green onions sliced

salt and vinegar

• 1 red chili pepper sliced

• 1 tbsp toasted sesame seeds

• 3 cloves garlic minced

Instructions

Step 1

• bring a pot of water to a boil, add salt & vinegar and gently place the eggs into the boiling water, set the time for 6 mins (5mins if you use small eggs like me)

Step 2

• prepare a bowl of iced water, then after 6 (5) mins, remove the eggs from the boiling water and immediately place them into the ice bath to stop the cooking process

Step 3

• make the marinade by combining finely chopped onions, garlic, green onions, chili pepper, then add sesame seeds, soy sauce, honey & water

Step 4

• peel the eggs the place them into a container, combine the marinade mixture, place the lid on the container and leave in the fridge overnight

Step 5

• serve with some rice and some marinade
