Chicken tortilla soup is the perfect comfort food for the fall season. Its warm, savory broth, tender chicken, and a medley of vegetables create a satisfying, hearty meal. Ingredients

4 cups chicken broth

half sliced avocado

cilantro to garnish

2 cups tortilla chips

roasted cumin powder

2 cups tortilla strips

black pepper to taste

1/4 cup of lemon juice

few pieces of jalapeños

1/2 cup black beans

2 tablespoon canned green chiles

1 tablespoon chopped garlic

1/2 cup canned diced tomatoes

salt to taste

1 1/2 shredded chicken

1/4 cup cheese of choice

1/2 cup corn

green chilies to taste

1/2 cup white onions

Instructions

Step 1

Put shredded chicken, corn, onions black beans, tomatoes, childs, chopped garlic, salt, cumin, paprika in a pot with chicken broth, cover it and cook it for for 8-9 minutes or until broth is boiling.

Step 2

Add cilantro, lemon juice and salt, mix everything nicely and pour the soup over tortilla strips in a serving bowl.

Step 3

Garnish with cilantro, avocado cheese of choice, more tortilla strips and jalapeños and your chicken tortilla soup is ready.
