Saffron sweet rice is a versatile delight for all occasions, especially Diwali. Its vibrant color and sweet aroma make it a festive favorite that everyone can enjoy. Its rich, golden hue, infused with the exotic fragrance of saffron, instantly uplifts the festive spirit.

Ingredients

few strands of saffron in 3 tablespoons milk

2 tablespoon golden raisins

2 tablespoons ghee

1 cup sugar

2 tablespoons

4 hyphen 5 cloves

2 tablespoon cashews

2 tablespoon shredded coconut

2 cups semi boiled basmati rice

2 hyphen 3 big black cardamom

2 tablespoon almonds slivers

1 hyphen 2 stick of cinnamon

Instructions

Step 1

In a pan, add ghee and allow it to melt over medium heat.

Step 2

Once the ghee is hot, add cinnamon, cloves, and black cardamom to infuse the flavors.

Step 3

Now, toss in a mix of assorted nuts, raisins, and shredded coconut. sauté them in the ghee for a few minutes until they turn a light golden brown.

Step 4

After that, add 2 cups of semi-boiled rice to the pan.

Step 5

Dissolve 3/4 tablespoon of milk with saffron and drizzle it over the rice.

Step 6

Add sugar and ensure everything is well mixed.

Step 7

At this point, the rice might become a bit watery due to the sugar; that’s perfectly fine.

Step 8

Cover the pan with a lid, and let it simmer on low heat for approximately 10 minutes. alternatively, you can place the covered pan in the oven at 300°f for about 15 minutes.

After the specified time, your delectable sweet saffron rice is ready to be served and savored!
