Treat dad with these delicious steak sandwiches this Father’s Day! Pan-fried steak with caramelised onions and a creamy pesto sauce... these sandwiches are seriously good.

Ingredients

rocket handful

4 cheese slices

salt

1 tbsp baslamic glaze

2 bread rolls turkish

1 brown onion finely sliced

2 porterhouse steaks

4 pineapple slices

1 tbsp pesto

pepper

½ cup mayo

Instructions

Step 1

Add the onion to a pan on low-medium heat with a splash of oil. saute for about 6-8 minutes until caramelised, adding balsamic glaze after a few minutes.

Step 2

Remove from the pan and fry the steaks for about 2-4 minutes per side depending on the thickness. let them rest and add the bread rolls cut side down into the pan to toast.

Step 3

Combine the mayo and pesto to make the sauce.

Step 4

Slice the steak and assemble. spread some sauce, then add the cheese, steak, onion, pineapple and rocket.
