CHEESY SPINACH AND BACON FILLED PASTRIES

These cheesy-filled pastries are the perfect family appetisers.

Ingredients

everything bagel seasoning

1 tsp garlic powder

1 tsp dried oregano

4 rashers bacon diced

1 cup cheddar grated

250 g ricotta

1 egg beaten

5 sheets puff pastry

500 g frozen spinach

Instructions

Step 1

Fry off the bacon until crispy. in a large bowl combine the bacon with the cheeses, spinach, oregano, garlic powder and a pinch of salt and pepper.

Step 2

Cut each sheet of pastry into 4 pieces, and scoop a heaped tablespoon of the filling into the centre of 10 squares.

Step 3

Lay the remaining 10 squares on top, pressing down the edges with a fork. brush the tops with egg wash and gently cut some slits in the top.

Step 4

Place them all over 2 baking trays and sprinkle with bagel seasoning. bake for 20 minutes until golden brown.
