Quick and Simple Banana bread bars for a quick lift me up

Ingredients

100g white sugar

150g allpurpose flour

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1/2 teaspoon salt

3 ripe bananas

1 egg

1 teaspoon baking powder

100g brown sugar

chocolate chunks or chips

1/2 teaspoon baking soda

100g vegetable oil or melted coconut oil

Instructions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 350°f (180°c). grease and flour a 9x5-inch loaf pan or line it with parchment paper.

Step 2

Mash the bananas and add to them the oil and the egg, then mix thoroughly.

Step 3

Next add in your vanilla, flour, sugars, baking powder, baking soda and salt. combine them very thoroughly.

Step 4

Add about 3/4 of your chocolate chunks/chips and fold them in gently.

Step 5

Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top with a spatula.

Step 6

Top with the remaining chocolate chunks/chips.

Step 7

Bake in the preheated oven for about 30-40 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the loaf comes out clean.

Step 8

Once baked, let the banana bread cool in the pan for about 10 minutes, then slice up and enjoy!
