There is literally no comparison between the homemade and the mcdonalds one. It beats it by miles!!! One of my best experiments and it was a success. I was so happy with the tartar sauce and how it complimented the fish burger. I literally cannot urge you enough to give this recipe a try. It may have a few steps but it is super simple to make and extremely fool proof.

Ingredients

1 cup of flour

parsley

white fish fillet

pickles

1 large lemon

soda water

dill

1 egg

2 tbsp mayo

1/2 onion

salt

paprika

capers

pepper

Instructions

Step 1

Cut the fish fillet into nice sizes, add salt and leave aside for 1 hour

Step 2

Let's create the tartar sauce. chop up dill, parsley, onion, pickles and capers and mix together. add 2 tbsp of mayo and mix again. add one large lemon juice and mix. add more lemon if you think its too thick.

Step 3

To create the batter: add flour, salt, pepper, paprika, soda water. add more soda water until it becomes a pancake batter consistency.

Step 4

Toss the fish in flour then batter and fry for 3-4 minutes.

Step 5

Toast the buns and start assembling. add a generous amount of tartar sauce, add the fish fillet and enjoy!
