mediumJust in time for the 4th of July! ❤️ Holy cow, this recipe is fantastic! BBQ food isn’t exactly something I think of when I think of vegan food so I often don’t make it but ever since this new BBQ spot opened up near my house I’ve been craving it and decided to tweak this recipe by @fitgreenmind and it is truly the bomb.com. You absolutely need to try it!! SAVE this one for later because it’s summertime which is perfect for having a backyard BBQ party featuring these pulled tofu burgers!
Ingredients
1/2 tsp curry powder
1 onion
2 tbsp apple cider vinegar
1/4 purple cabbage
2 tsp garlic powder
1 lime squeezed
1 package of tofu shredded
little oil on the baking dish
1 tbsp maple syrup
1 tbsp sriracha i love yellowbird
4 tbsp vegan mayo
3 tbsp ketchup
1 tsp apple cider vinegar
water to thin
2 tbsp cilantro
2 garlic cloves
2 tbsp soy sauce
1/4 green cabbage
1 hyphen 2 tbsp soy sauce
2 tbsp maple syrup
Instructions
Step 1
-preheat your oven to 350f
Step 2
-shred your pressed tofu with a grater then toss with soy sauce and garlic powder. place on a baking sheet and bake for 30 min (tossing)
Step 3
-combine all your coleslaw ingredients, chopping your cabbage (can put in the fridge until the rest of the recipe is ready)
Step 4
-once the tofu has a few minutes left in the oven, start the bbq sauce. sautee your onion and garlic in a pan with some avocado oil for 3-5 minutes. then add the rest of the bbq toppings, pouring some water to thin
Step 5
-let it bubble for a few minutes then add your crispy cooked tofu and cover in the sauce.
Step 6
-serve on a bun of choice with coleslaw at the bottom and the pulled bbq tofu over it. enjoy!
