Making jam brings up a lot of childhood memories of my grandparents in their kitchen in Austria chopping and cooking fruit. And of me eating those delicacies for breakfast. Raspberry jam was always the most precious. My Oma and Opa grew raspberries in their garden, and Oma’s jam was divine. I don’t have a garden to grow berries, and I also don’t want to break the bank for jam. So, the little trick I have is to use organic frozen raspberries. They work perfectly for jam, and with 2 12oz bags, you can make a small batch that gives you 1 or 2 jars. The process is really simple.

Ingredients

700g frozen raspberries

350g granulated sugar

Instructions

Step 1

Cook raspberries and sugar in a pot, stirring continuously. foam will form when boiling, keep cooking and stirring until it goes away.

Step 2

Wash and sterilize 1-2 jars and lids by putting them in the oven at 375f for 10-15 minutes.

Step 3

Pour jam in jars, seal jars, and store in the fridge!
