Ingredients
110g plain flour
custard cubes
10g corn flour
15g custard powder optional but it guarantees a golden brown colour and custardy scent
50g tapioca starch
2g baking soda
180g milk
20g melted salted butter
2 eggs
Instructions
Step 1
Whisk in the eggs and sugar until pale and fluffy
Step 2
Whisk in the milk and butter
Step 3
Sift and whisk in all dry ingredients, until smooth
Step 4
Rest in the fridge for around 15 minutes
Step 5
Heat up your waffle cooker (no need to grease it!)
Step 6
Pour in the batter on one side (just until it covers the holes, quickly put in the custard cubes
Step 7
Close the cooker and quickly flip it onto the other side to cook until it signals that it is done (or as directed by the cooker)
Step 8
Once cooked, lift the waffle out and shape it before letting it cool with a fan
