ready in a scoop and a pour, this summery dessert has me in a chokehold. Affogato - gelato drowned in espresso, is perfect for when you want an iced coffee but also a milk shake at the same time. And I thought, what about we throw milk tea into the mix? Milk tea coffee is a well loved drink in Hong Kong cha chaan tengs (hk cafes). It’s earthy, rich, but also not as “dense”(?) as a full on latte. The tea almost cuts between the bitterness of the coffee and creaminess of the milk and makes it a bit more refreshing of a drink. And THIS is the ice cream version of it
